The Body The Blood and The Cross!

The Body The Blood and The Cross:

Matthew 26:26-28

[26]And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

[27]And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

[28]For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Matthew 10:38-40

[38]And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

[39]He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

[40]He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

Matthew 16:21-26

[21]From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

[22]Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.

[23]But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

[24]Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

[25]For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

[26]For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Mark 8:33-38

[33]But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.

[34]And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

[35]For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.

[36]For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

[37]Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

[38]Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Luke 9:22-24

[22]Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

[23]And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

[24]For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

Luke 14:26-33

[26]If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

[27]And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

[28]For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

[29]Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,

[30]Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

[31]Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?

[32]Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.

[33]So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

1 Corinthians 1:17-29

[17]For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

[18]For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

[19]For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

[20]Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

[21]For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

[22]For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

[23]But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

[24]But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

[25]Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

[26]For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

[27]But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

[28]And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

[29]That no flesh should glory in his presence.

Galatians 6:14

[14]But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Ephesians 2:10-18

[10]For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

[11]Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

[12]That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

[13]But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

[14]For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

[15]Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

[16]And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

[17]And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

[18]For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Philippians 2:5-11

[5]Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

[6]Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

[7]But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

[8]And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

[9]Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

[10]That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

[11]And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 3:17-21

[17]Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.

[18](For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:

[19]Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

[20]For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

[21]Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Colossians 1:16-23

[16]For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

[17]And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

[18]And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

[19]For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

[20]And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

[21]And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled

[22]In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

[23]If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

Colossians 2:8-15

[8]Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

[9]For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

[10]And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

[11]In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

[12]Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

[13]And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

[14]Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

[15]And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Hebrews 12:1-4

[1]Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

[2]Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

[3]For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

[4]Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

John 6:44-49,51-69

[44]No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

[45]It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

[46]Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.

[47]Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

[48]I am that bread of life.

[49]Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.

[51]I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

[52]The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?

[53]Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

[54]Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

[55]For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

[56]He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

[57]As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

[58]This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

[59]These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.

[60]Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?

[61]When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?

[62]What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?

[63]It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

[64]But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

[65]And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

[66]From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

[67]Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?

[68]Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life..

[69]And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
